Quick answers about kindling scenes, keeping your world and your data. Still stuck? Write to mail@cheesework.shop.
How do I kindle a new scene?
Open Chronicles from the Hearth, choose a saga, and tap the large Kindle button at the bottom. Tap it again for a different scene. Use the Kindle sheet to change genre, tone or the twist option.
What does the tone slider change?
Tone runs from Bleak to Bright in five steps. It filters which story fragments can appear in a scene and nudges Fate Check answers toward yes when bright and toward no when bleak.
How does Fate Check work?
Type a yes-or-no question and tap the Fate button beside Kindle. You get one of six answers: Yes, and; Yes; Yes, but; No, but; No; or No, and. Tone weights the odds.
Can I keep a scene I like?
Yes. Pin a scene and it stays marked in your saga. Pinned scenes remain on the page when you come back the next day.
How do I export a saga?
Open the saga and use the export button. EmberQuill hands plain text to the iOS share sheet, so you can send it to Notes, Messages, Files or any app you choose.
Where is my data, and how do I erase it?
It lives only on your iPhone. In Embers you can reset data part by part, for example sagas only or companions only. Deleting the app removes everything.
Do I need an account or internet?
No. EmberQuill has no accounts and makes no network requests, so it works the same in airplane mode.
